The promoters of Karikkathi Beach House are Sajjad and Shaina, a young couple who live in a small town south of Trivandrum. Though a banker by profession, Sajjad has always had a passion for travel and a deep interest in nature. In his travels across Kerala, he discovered many picturesque locales that capture the essence of the Kerala experience but are still unknown to most visitors. To his dismay, Sajjad also found that many of those in the tourism business are more interested
in making a quick buck, with no regard for the environment and conservation of natural resources. These experiences and the desire to do something 'different as well as special' led Sajjad to develop the Karikkathi Beach House, an eco-friendly tourist facility at Vizihinjam near Trivandrum.
